a pleasant world it is part 9

valure was horrified. it was the scariest and most insane thing she had ever encountered.she walked through the school hallways with stephanie by her side trying to calm her down.
"oh come on, its just a little sex ed homework." stephanie said reasuringly. valure stared at stephanie wide eyed.
"just a little sex ed homework! we have lable some picture of a dick!" she exclaimed waving the homework sheet in stephanie's face.
"accutally the proper turm is pe-"stephanie was about to correct her but interupted her ibruptly with a quick "SHUT UP!" pointing her finger in stephanie's face. valure was quite horrified of the class but she had to take it. she just hoped that for ounce, skulduggery wasn't going to ask her "what happened today". the last bell rang and valure and stephanie ran out of the school to meet skulduggery. his bently was parked outside the school with skulduggery inside in his disguise. valure just realized that it would still be kinda awkward for her to be around skulduggery after the night before. they hopped in the car and buckled up. the first words out of skulduggery's mouth were the very word valure didn't want to hear.
"so, what happened today?" he asked good heartedly. valure's eye began to twitch with the thought of the class.
"um, well you don't want to know, it's kinda disturbing" stephanie answered. valure looked up with wide eyes and her left eye still twitching.
"KINDA DISTURBING! this was more then KINDA disturbing! it was full blown mental scaring in a class!"she exclaimed waving her arms wildly in the air. skulduggery glanced over to stephanie calmly.
"you guys had the sex ed class today didn't you?"he said. stephanie gave an agreeing nod. skulduggery looked back to the road. "well, maybe this will take your mind off it, i heard a local ledgend off a cave call "isle of the dead" its just off the outskirts of dublin, i was thinking maybe thats where the harpies may be hiding out. they like caves and stuff like that and the stories seem quite suspicious." he exsplained. valure sighed.
"great. just great. first, the class. now i get to go looking for a bunch of huge birds that want to kill me! my day couldn't get any worse!" valure said sarcasticly. skulduggery gave a small laugh.
"now we know that your day will get worse right?" he said kindly. valure sighed again.
"yes. now my day will, suck." she said with a great amount of enfasous on the "suck".

a half hour later, they arived to the mouth of the cave, it was small and didn't seem to be to horrifieing or creepy, not even remotly spooky. it looked like a hole in the mountain that sourounded it. from here, dublin city was far behind them, so if you scream out there, no one will hear you. skulduggery and stephanie got out while valure stayed in the car.
"hold on guys! i need to change into my outfit that the mages gave me. so skulduggery, no looking." valure warned from inside the car. skulduggery sighed in frustration and turned around. valure started getting changed. skulduggery turned his head slightly, just enough so that he could see valure's bare back and legs flailing around as she pulled on her leather pants. stephanie, who was respecting valure's privacy, saw skulduggery.
"skulduggery! stop that!" she said hitting him lightly on the arm.he kept his gaze on valure.
"stop what?" he said inosently. stephanie crossed her arms across her chest.
"i saw you watching valure" she said persistantly. his head whipped forward again away from the car where valure was changing.
"i was not watching, i was sneaking a quick glance in that general direction." he said defencivly. stephanie rolled her eyes. soon after, valure stepped out of the bently fully dressed. she had her whip ounce again wrapped around her waist as a belt.
"alright, lets go." she said catching up with the other two .they had to go in one at a time to crawl through the narrow cave entrance. stephanie went in first followed by valure and skulduggery. they crawled through the narrow passege.
"skulduggery, stop it, i can just sence that you're staring at my ass!" valure whispered. skulduggery was staring down at the ground then looked up suprised.
"i didn't do anything!" he said defencivly. eventually they came to a part of the cave that was much larger. it was tall enough that they stand up and walk. valure caught a quick glance of a carving on the wall. she stopped and took a closer look at it. skulduggery leaned his head over valure's shoulder to see what she was looking at. the picture was in great detail. it was of thousands of harpies all bowing down to another harpie on a thrown, like a king.
"maybe this is like the great main palace of the harpies, y'know where they worship kings and queens and stuff." valure suggested.skulduggery nodded in agreement. stephanie was standing off down further in the hall. valure looked up from the graphic on the wall and looked to stephanie. "hey steph, whats wrong?" valure called out to stephanie. she looked like she was staring at a horrible monster or something. eyes wide and mouth open. skulduggery and valure ran ver to her and looked up to her point of view. first skulduggery saw it then valure saw it and in her complete horror, she screamed.
